Elektra Kimya Kozmetik Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd.Şti. started it’s trade and distribution business in 1997.

In 2004, together with the end of the privatisation process of the state business TEKEL ( ‘T.C.Tütün, Tütün Mamülleri, Tuz ve Alkol İşletmeleri’ - Tobacco, Tobacco Products, Salt and Alcohol Business of the Turkish Republic) Elektra Ltd. started according to the law and regulations of TAPDK (‘T.C.Tütün ve Alkol Piyasası Denetleme Kurumu‘ - Ministry Control Department of the Tobacco and Alcohol market of the Turkish Republic) the trading of Alcohol and is still keeping on.

Up from this date it continues to import Ethyl Alcohol from different areas and countries – mainly Pakistan, Brazil and Europe – and keeps on its authorized distribution business in Turkey.

Elektra Ltd. has focused on the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry within its Ethyl Alcohol import and distribution business.

The selection of the sources for Ethyl Alcohol import and distribution is firstly taken under consideration of the support for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry’s specific aims regarding their use in production and the quality of their products.

Elektra’s distribution and transit storage place is built over an area of 2000 m2 open and 600 m2 close area.

The sale of alcohol is done as wholesale, the logistic part is done by themselves and under the control of the company. The cars are equipped according to all the official regulations, the drivers have taken actual and the necessary educations, and provide all of the prescribed licenses.

From 2014 on Elektra started a business cooperation with the English company Gapuma (UK) Ltd. for the supply of Pharmaceutical Raw Materials from international market offering them the Turkish pharmaceutical manufacturers.
